Boyd Research specializes in fiscal and economic research and analysis. Donald J. Boyd conducts research as the prime researcher and supervises the work of research assistants. In addition, where project scope or diversity warrants, with concurrence of clients Boyd Research will partner with other professionals and organizations, and can organize partnership arrangements with national experts for specific projects as needed.

Donald J. Boyd is a nationally recognized expert on state and local finance with more than 25 years of experience. His past positions include:

• Director of the fiscal studies program at the Rockefeller Institute of Government, the public policy research arm of the State University of New York
• Director of the economic and revenue staff for the New York State budget office
• Director of the tax staff for the New York State Assembly Ways and Means Committee

Boyd holds a Ph.D. in Managerial Economics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
